Performing and teaching activities

As a permanent conductor Ger Vos is/has been associated with the following unions:

Past:

-         The Hoensbroeks Kamerkoor, from 1979 to 1990.

-         The Toonkunstkoor Geleen, from 1981 to 1997.
      A choir that performs yearly, together with an orchestra (Limburgs Symphonie Orkest) and solists.

-         The Eindhovense Christelijke Oratoriumvereniging, from 1981 to August 1990.
      A choir that performed annually together with orchestra and solists.
      The accompanying orchestra was the Brabants Orkest.
      Incidentally, the choir performed together with the Randstedelijk Begeleidingsorkest and the Dordts Kamerorkest.

-         The Kerkraads Symphonie Orkest, from January 1990 to December 1991.

-         The Maaslands Operette en Musical Gezelschap, from 1998 to 2002.

Present:

-         The Toonkunstkoor Wageningen, since August 1990.
      A choir that performs annually with orchestra and solists.
      In the past, the accompanying orchestra was Het Gelders Orkest.

-         The Concertkoor Haarlem (formerly known as: Koor Katholiek Haarlem), since November 1991.
      A choir performing annually with orchestra (the former Noordhollands Philharmonisch Orkest).

-         The student choir of the Wageningse Studenten Koor en Orkest Vereniging (WSKOV), since 1985.
      A choir that gives 4 concerts per year, performing both a cappella pieces and pieces together with the student orchestra.

-         The Vocaal Ensemble Vivavoce in Wageningen since the foundation in 1992.
      A choir that works project-based and performs both a cappella pieces and pieces together with a small orchestra.

-         The Christelijke Oratoriumvereniging “Valerius”, Barneveld, since June 2003.
      A choir that performs yearly with orchestra and solists.

As a guest conductor Ger Vos was involved in the following projects:

1985: An orchestra project with a youth symphony orchestra consisting of pupils of the schools
          of music of Oisterwijk, Hilvarenbeek and Goirle.

1986: An opera production of the school of music in Oisterwijk with a performance
          of the church opera Noye’s Fludde by Benjamin Britten.

1986: A jubilee concert of the Koninklijke Christelijke Zangersbond in the Grote Kerk in Breda
          with a composite choir, the Dordts Kamerorkest and solist in a performance of the Matthew’s Passion of G. Ph. Telemann.

1986: A jubilee concert of the Koninklijke Christelijke Zangersbond in the St. Annakerk in Maastricht
          with a compound choir, the Limburgs Symphonie Orkest and solists in a performance of
          the Requiem by G. Fauré and the Te Deum by A. Dvořák.

1988: A number of educational concerts with the Limburgs Symphonie Orkest throughout the entire province of Limburg.

1988: An opera production by the schools of music of Oisterwijk, Hilvarenbeek and Goirle in a performance
          of ‘Dido and Aeneas’ by Henry Purcell in an international cast.

1989: A concert production by the Limburgs Symphonie Orkest as part of the Wereld Muziek Concours
          Kerkrade 1989. Task: study the 2nd symphony by G. Mahler with a composite choir and
          leading the so called ‘Fernorchester’.

1990: An opera production with a composite cast in a performance of ‘Down in the Valley’ by Kurt Weill.

1995: A choir production with all Wageningen choirs as part of a memorial concert
          with the Gloria of John Rutter for choir, solists, wind instruments and organ in the Grote Kerk in Wageningen.

2000-20003: Conducting the scratch opera during the famous yearly scratch days in Leiden.

2002: A choir production with a number of choirs from Wageningen  at the celebration of Liberation Day (5th of May).
 

As a teacher, Ger Vos was involved in the following institutions:
